wMu Woman's Missionary Union

....wMu (Woman's Missionary Union) - is the mission arm of the church.  "wMu" Directors are Patsy Mason and Jane Wilson.

United Baptist Church is actively involved in missions for all ages.  Children and Youth meet weekly on Wednesday Evenings at 6:30 pm at the church.  Over 100 children and youth participate in the following groups.

Missions Friends (Pre-school age)
   Leader - 

GA's (1st - 6th greades)
   Leader - Susan Page

RA's (Boys 1st - 6th grades)
   Leaders- Robert Ellison and Ken O'Connor

Youth (7th - 12th grades)
   Leaders - Rev. Gregorio Castillo and Gabby

Women on Missions (Ladies all ages) meet the second Monday of each month (11:30 a.m.) at The Clock on Reidville Rd. 
Facilitator - Shirley Ballard

Missions Outreach Projects are done monthly through "wMu". Many projects include church-wide involvement.

Miission offerings are promoted through "wMu" which include local, state, North America, and International which also involves church-wide participation.

On August 23, 2012, Silvino Contreras was naturalized as a U. S. Citizen. Silvino and his wife Rosey, who became a citizen in 2006, are two of many students who have participated in United's ESL/Citizenship Ministry. Pictured below are Silvino and Rosey with ESL Director and Citizenship Teacher Mary Hensley.

Since our citizenship classes began in 2001, 58 people from 13 countries have become citizens after going through our ministry.
